Upon arrival at the small port of the island, the superb Venetian Neo-Gothic style mansion, designed by architect Luigi Rovelli at the start of the 19th century, welcomes visitors with wonder. Its construction is reminiscent of the Doge’s Palace in Venice with its skilful blend of Eastern Gothic and Moorish architecture. Remodeled by the various families of owners over the years, it stands victorious above the remains of an ancient monastery.
Its charm is surrounded by lush vegetation where palms and cypresses mingle in a profusion of fruits and flowers with divine scents. Thanks to the microclimate, nature grows with delight in the magic of this beautiful paradise.
Alberta Cavazza, one of the seven siblings of the family that owns the place, warmly honors us on the island. Considered as privileged guests, she takes us to discover the colorful greenhouses, the hidden caves and this luxurious residence in these dream gardens.
The Cavazza family live in part of the house throughout the year and their presence gives it a very lively and authentic character.
