In the city of the Doges, the German Katharina Fritsch trained her monumental elephant and received a prize for her career like the Chilean Cecilia Vicuna. As for the famous «Golden Lion», it was awarded to the African-American of Jamaican origin Simone Leigh for her work, which supports black women power in the face of colonialism. The other «Golden Lion» rewards the British artist Sonia Boyce for her vibrant musical installation.
