Philippe Starck invites the public of the Carnavalet Museum to undertake an imaginary and surprising journey to discover his pataphysical Paris, from Paris to Paris, his home port.
Over the course of his creations, a new itinerary between dream and reality is revealed in his hometown, a source of constant inspiration for him.
As Regent of the College of Pataphysics, science of imaginary solutions, as Alfred Jarry defined it, the famous French designer reveals two types of mysteries, those that Paris hides and those that he himself conceals more or less intentionally in his creations.
All places in Paris have an incredible charm for him, from public spaces to famous tourist sites, including places of power and spaces of conviviality.
Starck designs restaurants, night spots, hotels, museums, stations, shops, but also objects related to daily Parisian life such as the photo booth and the Olympic medal for the 2024 Olympics.
The journey begins with the encounter with the wax statue of Starck animated by his voice like the one present at the Grévin Museum.
