His spectacular projects span the world from Hong Kong with the HSBC headquarters in London to the Great Court of the British Museum and from the Millau Viaduct to the Hearst Tower in New York.
Winner of multiple awards, including the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 1999, Foster has designed more than 400 architectural achievements worldwide with the help of more than 500 collaborators and employees.
The exhibition retraces the different periods of his work and his decisive achievements with 130 major projects.
His sources of inspiration, his notebooks and drawings rub shoulders with the works of famous artists such as Fernand Leger, Constantin Brancusi and Umberto Boccioni as well as industrial and automotive achievements.
The route of the exhibition unfolds in seven themes, the personal notes of Norman Foster are the starting point.
Since his youth, he used to have an A4 notebook with him to draw and write. His research is thus presented in the central showcases in correspondence with his personal drawings and photographs hung on the walls of the room. For Foster, it all starts with a sketch. Sections are fundamental in the study and logic of architectural design.
