In her private collection, she had several paintings by famous artists, including «La Vigne Rouge», the only work that Van Gogh ever sold during his lifetime for the derisory sum of 400 francs at the time.
After her death, some of the works were sold at auction, notably to the Russian collector Sergei Chtchoukine to help Anna Boch’s painter friends live their old age peacefully.
His goddaughter Ida, daughter of his gardener, inherited 140 paintings which remained in his house until his death in 1992.
