« Watch you burn » is the centerpiece of the exhibition. Dividing the space
in two, this work, presented in the form of a mirrored screen bearing «The Message,»
acts as a barrier on one side to a canvas displaying the artist’s Covid certificate in a QR
code, like a self-portrait.
On the other side, «The Sun,» the artificial sun, glowing orange, radiates across a sea
of pixels, evoking a dystopian vision of our digital world.
«Out of Frame,» this frame that opens rather than encloses, symbolizes the artist’s
desire to explore new aesthetic horizons. This is precisely what Mathias Kiss aims for
through his artistic approach, based on the study and personal representation of the
universal elements superior to the human condition: Sky, Air, and Fire: to question
established norms, explore new forms of expression, and encourage us to look beyond
appearances.
Everything is ephemeral, unique and infinite at the same time.
