Drawing inspiration from the wonders and anthropomorphism of the medieval
bestiary, these creations transport us from the manga Berserk to the world of Pyrrhia,
highlighting the importance of craftsmanship and community.
The legacy of the Middle Ages blends science and magic in its alchemy and opens the
door to contemporary artists’ inexhaustible thirst for knowledge fueled by a taste for the
marvelous and the supernatural.
Exhibition organized as part of the
Berserk & Pyrrhia program, contemporary and medieval art,
under the general curatorship of Céline Poulin, Director of the Frac Île-de-France.
The exhibition is curated by Rémi Enguehard, Head of Outreach and
Off-site Programming at the Frac Île-de-France, and Michel Huynh,
General Curator at the Musée de Cluny.
