An unmistakable figure in the aisles of Art Basel Paris. Tall, slim, and dressed
in a cobalt blue jumpsuit painted with a large, harmoniously balanced pattern, she is
a work of art. So cheerful that approaching her is almost a given. Painting clothes is
only one facet of her work, so we made an appointment to meet Olga Kosheleva in
her studio. 20 meters from the Place de l’Hôtel de Ville in the 4th arrondissement,
her studio is located in a Haussmann-style complex called «Hospitalités Citoyennes.»
Formerly the headquarters of the APHP (Professional Association for the Protection
of Human Rights), this 30,000 m² space welcomes artisans, artists, and organizations
dedicated to the social economy. A community made interesting by the diversity of
profiles.
