The big names in photography and illustration like Richard Avedon, Peter Lindbergh, Man Ray, Dali and Warhol have contributed to making this review a myth alongside the writings of Colette, Simone de Beauvoir, François Sagan and English writers from Charles Dickens to Truman Capote, from Patricia Highsmith to Virginia Woolf.
