The collectors are fighting for them and some jewelers keep them jealously waiting for the opportunity to subliminate them.
In only about ten years, the legend of this extremely rare stone was written. In 2001, a new wave of tourmalines comes into play. Illuminated by this blue neon green that is rather characteristic, they are extracted from the mountains rich in copper deposit in Edeko in Nigeria, and in 2005 from one in Alto Ligonha in Mozambique.
Yet they will never succeed in matching the blue radiance like a ray of sunshine through the ocean. They will fight to get the «Paraiba» appellation that is finally granted to them by the International Gemstone Society (IGS).
